First Day of School

Well the first day of school is behind us now. All went well except for mom and her dang emotions (see post below). Everyone ended up to school on time and I even made it to work on time. The kids had a great day and all of them love their teachers.

Teachers for the year-
MaKayla 5th grade- Mrs Kress
Clayton 1st grade- Mrs Dance
Carson 1st grade- Mrs Speas

We are looking forward to a great year and hopefully the homework does not kill us all. I did not get a picture of them in the morning before school but I did take a picture of them last night so its about the same thing at least I think. It was such a crazy morning we just did not have time. Going from summer mode to school mode is a shock to the system.

Sad day in Mommy Land.....

Well yesterday was a hard day for me. The kids have grown up so fast it exciting to see them learn new things but it's hard because you never imagine that the time will go by so fast. The first day of school was yesterday so I walked all three of the kids into the school to help them find their classes and introduce them to their teachers. First off we found Carson's class so I took him in and introduced him to his teacher and she asked him to hang his bag up and that there was a paper on his desk that he could work on. I went to say good-bye to him and tell him to have a great day. He was so busy he didn't even respond to me it made me so sad. But on the other hand I'm glad he is well adjusted and handles new environments well. Then we go and find Clayton's class no teacher so we drop off his bag and then find MaKayla's class. It was time for me to go to work so I walked Clayton and MaKayla out to the play ground and ask MaKayla to stay with him and make sure he make it to his class ok. I had the hardest time leaving them on the playground.

You know that your kids are going to grow up and it is so fun to watch them grow and learn. But the time goes by so fast and they are not babies anymore. I guess time does fly when you are having fun........

School Time

It's that time of year again. The kids are so excited to go back to school. It's hard to believe that our kids are already in 5th grade and 1st grade where did the time go? I will hopefully get some pictures of the first day of school and get them posted soon. Wish me luck on getting all three of them out the door and to school on time and for that matter getting myself to work on time!

Fishing at Roberts

Saturday we took off and went perch fishing at Roberts. We all got in the float tubes and fished for awhile then just fished from the dock. I ended up going fishing for my dad's fishing pole that went plunk in the water. I got it back after getting water in my waders all I can say is cold. All in all we had a great day didn't catch much but oh well.Getting ready to go fishingCarson with a monster.......Clayton & Carson playing on the dockTyson with his monster of a fish

Harvest Pictures

Well I ended up spending the rest of the day out in the combine with Tyson on Saturday. It was a great day talking, taking pictures and just relaxing. I can entertain myself all day long as long as I have my camera with me. I know how sad but it is very true.

Elk

Saturday night Tyson took me around the corner to show me some elk. I had seen that a guy had some behind his house earlier but I had just seen cow elk. There is a nice looking bull elk in there I had no idea it was even there.

Grain Harvest

Last Wednesday I took dinner out to Tyson and rode in the combine for awhile with him. It was a great evening it's always so peaceful just to go out and ride with him and talk. The simple times always the best!
Me and My Man! Filling the grain cartOff I go to finish up some yummy treats and pack a lunch to go ride in the combine today. The kids are off camping with grandpa and grandma Jensen. I may just spend the rest of the day in the combine with Tyson.

More to come.......

So the past little while you may have noticed that some of my posts are just little random things that the kids have said or just some funny things that happen to us through our day. Well there will be lots more of this to come in the future. The statement I made in an earlier post I'm going to stick to it. "That I need to journal our day to day happenings better because we forget all the little things so easily and it's all the little things we truly want to remember." I want to remember all the cute and funny things that happened while the kids grow up they grow so fast and will be gone and out of the house before we know it and I want to remember as much as I can.

Great Relationship With My New Pants.........

So finding pants for myself is a horrible task. When looking for casual pants for work I always look at Victoria Secret. Well I just bought a new pair and I think I'm going to have a great relationship with these pants I love them they fit great and look half way decent on me what more can I ask for. Well there's a lot more I could ask for but I will just start with this.

Now only if my rear end looked that good in them!

Rice

Tonight I made Spanish rice for dinner once it was done I called the kids in to eat. The boys asked what we were having I told them Spanish rice. They both looked at each other and said yummy Mexican rice! Okay what ever they want to call it I thought is was so dang cute.

Saturday Project

SLIME! On Saturday the kids and I made slime it was pretty cool and the kids loved it. I found the instructions here www.theidearoom.blogspot.com/2009/07/make-glow-in-dark-slime.html

County Fair Day 2

Our Star Shines She Shines So Bright!

Makayla did so well the second day of the County Fair. In the Junior Western Equitation she tied 6th place out of 33 kids and it was her 1st year she did so good. Her and grandma have worked so hard at this all year long! She also did the beginning trail and received a red ribbon and for fun she and another little boy did the crepe paper race. It was a long hot day but it was so fun to watch her do her thing. Great job Sis we are so proud of you!All her ribbonsMiss Makayla with some friends

Grain Talk.......

Tonight and last night the kids and I have went out and rode in the combine with Tyson. The kids love when we have the chance to do this. Although I think this year is going to be the last year all 5 of us are going to fit in the cab of the combine altogether. Tonight Carson made us laugh this is how it went.

Carson: daddy you missed some grain.

Daddy: I can't get it all.

Carson: It's ok daddy you will get more you have the whole field to cut.

It made us laugh so hard. It's so fun to have kids around they make you laugh about the littlest things.

Simple Solution.....Well in a 6 year olds mind!

So last night I was out picking raspberries when Clayton came out to ask where a pan went in the kitchen. He then said he was almost done doing his chores and asked if he could play when he was done. I told him once he is done he needed to come out in the back yard and "scoop poop". He then turned to the dog and said in a disgusted voice "dog will you just stop pooping I hate picking up your poop." I laughed so hard great solution but for some reason I don't think it is going to work.
