You can't leave footprints in the sands of time if you're sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave butt prints in the sands of time?

Good day gone bad.......

Yesterday started out great it was a beautiful day. We went out to American Falls for a dirt bike ride with the family and my mom and Mike. It was a wonderful ride besides from the one accident that Clayton had he scraped up his chest. The kids had a great time riding in the sand and they did great too. Here are a few pictures from the ride.

Mr Clayton and his scrapes can't really see it in this picture

Now on to the bad stuff. We loaded up and got on the road a few miles down the road the tire sensor came on. We checked it out and sure enough it was going flat and fast so we found a place to pull over. Well we thought the flat was the worst of our problems not even close. On further investigation we discovered we did not have the correct tool to remove the luge nuts the joys of custom rims ugh......So at this point Mike takes off to American Falls to find the correct tools. Mean while we all sit around for an hour and a half watching cars go by. Out of all the cars that went by only two stopped to see if we needed help. The first one that stopped did not have the correct size. The second one after digging awhile he found the correct size yeah! Got it changed at this point Mike shows back up poor guy he went everywhere. So we thought all the problems were done with ummmm nope not for us. Hey if it were not for bad luck we would not have any luck at all! We headed to Tyson's work to fix the tire and ran into some problems so ended up just taking it home to fix it. Well taking it home and fixing it didn't work out the way we wanted it to we could not get the bead to pop on the tire. So we had to beat the whole center out (reason we could not fix it out at his work in the first place). We got it out and Ty headed back to work to fix it blah blah blah. Well in the end tire is fixed with a very dented up cover piece oh well at this point at least it is fixed. Oh and the correct tool is in the truck now!

So in the process of all of this an unnamed 5th grader in our house discovers that a project is due on Tuesday which is a large part of her state report. Ugh at this point I'm ready to scream and not for ice cream! So as I'm blogging right now the unnamed 5th grader is in a mad dash to finish her project blah.......So there is the good, the bad, and the ugly that happened to us all in one day. What a day that's all I can say. Until next time...........
