You can't leave footprints in the sands of time if you're sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave butt prints in the sands of time?

Paint Colors

So I've never ever had a problem picking paint colors I can go in look at the colors pick one and walk out with the paint I needed go home, paint and love the color. Well this trip to pick a color did not go so smooth ugh! I stood there and looked, looked and looked some more and then came home with this.

Where do you start with all of these and the hubby is no help either he states they all look grey to me. Great! Although on the plus side after having them sitting around for a week now I think I have it narrowed down to 4 colors. I guess I will just tape them to the wall and see if I like one more than the other over the next few weeks. My problem with picking a color is I personally like dark colors but I don't want it to dark as I'm going to be painting my entryway, upstairs hall and down stairs hall all the same color. I will keep you posted on the progress of this issue.

Spring Cleaning

I can't believe that I'm going to post some of these pictures but here I go. About 2 weeks ago I opened my laundry room door and about got knocked on my ass from a god awful smell. See picture below.
Boy Cloths and as I'm throwing some of them in the washer (plugging my nose as I do this) I come across a sock even with my nose plugged I could still smell it. It was the smelliest sock of all time. Boys are gross just saying. So this sparked a chain of events. Spring cleaning was now in full swing.

All of the above junk was in my side of the bed. It now looks like this.
So much better. I can open it without having things fall on me.

I also proceeded to go through my closet

The above two pictures are what I removed from closet (my side) Yes that's 5 bags of clothing/shoes 2 bags and 1 box of papers and stuff I have been collected since 1998 yep you read that right 1998!

So much better I can actually find stuff now.

And I have only just started I still need to go through the boys clothing and get rid of stuff I'm so tried of all the junk.

More DIY Projects

I've been busy getting some of my DIY project finished. It must be the spring weather motivating me who knows all I know as I've been working like crazy.

Jewelry Shelf constructed, painted and distressed. I love building things from scratch.

Please don't mind my dirty oven that's on my to-do list as well. Colored some porcelain knobs and baked.

It's all put together and I refinished an old window to display on top that I've been meaning to finish for a year and a half. But I will hold off on showing you the finished project until I get it hung up. Yep going to make you wait.

Here is another project that I started last fall and just finally finished last weekend. I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I also built this from scratch, painted and distressed as well. Then added an old style door knob to it that I purchased off of Etsy.

A little ice cream always helps with homework.

Easter

Easter Sunday we headed to Brandon's AKA G.G's house for brunch and an egg hunt. We headed over in the Buick (G.G's old car) the kids wanted to bring their bunnies. So we packed everyone up and drove over we laughed the whole way knowing G.G. was smiling down that her kiddos where in the Buick with the Easter Bunnies.

Later in the day we headed to Mom and Mike's house for dinner. The weather was so nice we all decided to play a little baseball what a great time it has been forever since I played last.

Easter Egg Coloring

It's a tradition to go and color Easter Eggs and G.G's House AKA Brandon's house now. This year marks the first Easter without G.G's we all know she's here in spirit. Sorry Brandon it will always be know and G.G's house. So we went and invaded his space to color eggs. We all had a wonderful time watching the kiddos color eggs and visiting.

Fun Weekend

We made our way to the Jackson Hill Climbs again this year (always a fun family outing) Ty and I bought new Klim snow gear (his old stuff was about 7 or 8 years old mine is being passed down to Mk) we found a great deal on the stuff and could not pass it up. Watched a few good wreck on the hill and then headed into town and walked around. We hit up the candy store (tradition) and spent $30 ouch! Found me a new wine bottle holder thanks Ty and Mk for breaking the last one. Then just walked through all the shops.

Clay and Ty found some fun hats

On our way home we hit the dreaded Lowes ugh. It was time for a new dishwasher the last one kicked the bucket rest in peace you were a good one. Then the real struggle began story shown in pictures.

We Have A Funny Farm

Well I finally got my long awaited chickens. I'm loving them it's been so fun watching them grow and change.

These picture are from the day we brought them home (look how cute they are) They are now so big and living outside in their chicken coop.

The construction of the chicken coop.

I will get some pictures of the finished product soon.

With the addition of the chickens the kids have been bugging us for bunnies so we thought what the heck and for Easter (early present) we gave the kids bunnies. They are in love!
Mk begging me to buy the bunny. Little did she know she was picking out her bunny.
